Community-Based Initiatives

Samantha has volunteered at her local church to bring non-perishable goods and clothing donations for families in need in the greater Somerville, NJ area. She has also helped organize the hosting of housing-insecure families with Interfaith Hospitality Network at her church.

Samantha co-founded Acting to eXtinguish Invisibility in Society (A.X.I.S.) in 2012, a GLBTQI safe-zone group for teens and adolescents in the Monmouth and Ocean County areas with a 24/7 crisis hotline staffed by undergraduate and graduate students from New Jersey's higher education institutions. The organization was merged with QSPOT to extend services and reach to youth and adolescents in 2013.

Samantha facilitates no-cost, extracurricular technology-based programs  and literacy building workshops for students to help them prepare critical life-skills such as computer as a tool, and Girls Who Code based in Watchung, NJ.
